Here is the highly antisipated follow up album to jon phonics debut- half past calm. With the first album setting such a high benchmark, he really needed to pull something special out the bag to top it. The production on this album is sik!! and i believe it really sets a standard for hip hop in the uk. He keeps in touch with the sampling roots of boom bap while adding some dope synth work to really fill out dynamics and bring the sound up to date with modern takes on a classic artform. basically its a must have lp, it features some of the uk's finest mc's accompanied by one of the uk's finest producers!
